About Thermal Imaging

Even small increases or decreases of temperature on this thermal map can indicate a potential issue. Thermal imaging is therefore extremely useful to create a detailed map of your body to highlight problem areas.

The camera’s sensitivity means that injuries can be detected before outward symptoms are felt, as even small temperature variations can highlight risk areas. You can then take your images to your GP or therapist to really target your treatment plan.

Injury prevention is one of this technology’s greatest assets and it has a proven record of significantly reducing sports injuries in many high-level sports teams and clubs. It takes the guess work out of injuries by providing real time information of body’s health and identifying risk areas early!

At the other end of injury is the recovery, and thermal imaging can monitor your recovery and accurately determine when the process is complete. You will be provided with images of exactly how your body is reacting to increased load as you return to your sport.

Thermal imaging is not just for athletes, in fact anyone who is suffering from pain or injury can benefit from it. If you are in pain or struggling to get results from your current treatment plan then thermal imaging can help too. Thermal imaging will provide you with accurate detailed images that can help to identify the primary source of your issues. By revealing these problem areas you can make decisions about who can help and how.

Thermal imaging is unique in its ability to accurately identify the source of pain and not just highlight the symptoms. The images can be used to target treatment and monitor how effective it is, give data on recovery and map pain and dysfunction. The results are clear images that your GP or therapist can easily work from to help create a targeted treatment plan.

It's a quick easy process and non-contact too and a very similar process to having normal photographs taken. No waiting for results either as you will be emailed a report with your images usually with 48 hours.

Thermal imaging is not a diagnostic tool and cannot be used to give a medical diagnosis. It is an excellent detection tool to map areas of injury and dysfunction and offer diagnostic support.
